The bit started very easily, and cut through quite nicely. Very satisfied with the performance. I used the 3/16 inch bit to drill holes in my ceramic tile shower wall to hang a towel bar. Put some masking tape on the wall, marked the holes and just drilled without no problems. The bits were excellent for the ceramic tile. Started easily with no wandering. Clean holes. The glass tiles were another story. We used 1" mosaic tiles for the shower area, but I needed to drill holes for the handheld shower set. I practiced on extra tiles beforehand and found that the drills would get through the glass, but the spade style bit would catch and crack the tile 3 out of 4 times.
