I hate my cluttered small bathroom and I’ve made up my mind to remodeling it. Of course I want to make it more spacious so I hang out and surf the internet for a while. Luckily I read your blog. I hope my bathroom will be more ascetically pleasing as well as practically useful with your advice. I will come back to share good news about my new small bathroom with you! Wish me luck !

Depending on the damage will depend on the repair. You can buy that gritty textured paint if it's already got that "bumpy" look. Either that or just plain ceiling paint. Scrape it evenly, lightly sand it. If there are water stains, paint Kilz or something comparable over it to hide the stain so it doesn't bleed through the paint color. I prefer the "spa-like" look to bathrooms with neutral colors such as creams, beiges, or light blue on walls, white on ceilings. But it's your bath, so put your style in it. With a small bath, less is more in my opinion. Just keep it sparkling clean. Have fun!

The best thing to do over a shower on a budget is to first scrape all peeling paint, repair the cracks, use kilz and ask to have it tinted to the color of your choice. I think you should keep it white but the next color could be grey since it goes with many colors. GOOD LUCK
