Question by J: I want a sink in the "Cellar" or "Basement"...?
Basically we were interested in a house. The problem is the basement/cellar. There's basically nothing down there but it's being "remodeled" to have a floor, lighting and at least one good window.
But when asked about a bathroom - the answer was no for the toilet and shower. I didn't get a reason, just a message on my phone saying "uhh we can't do that".
I can settle without a second bathroom, but can it really NOT be possible to have a sink? That's the most important.

If the floor is currently dirt, then they dig a trench from the main stack/drain to where you want the future bathroom. It is done all the time in older homes. Then cement the floor and your good to go. If there is already a concrete slab, cut for trench.
