My husband and I have actually talked about this ourselves. We want to refinish our basement and make it a rec room. Complete with a full bar, 3 bistro tables, pool table, air hockey table, poker table, and an area for a home theater. The idea is to never have to leave the house. We could have parties and gatherings without having to go out and spend a lot of money. (Keeping in mind the alcohol would be in locked cabinets away from the kids so that they too could enjoy the room!)
This would also increase the value of our home if we decided to sale!
I wouldn’t have to worry about those nasty little, well quite large, brown spiders coming upstairs anymore!
Also, my 2 year old nephew wouldn’t say that "it’s scarey down there!", anymore and avoid the basement door! lol
We wouldn’t have to worry about any mold or mildew down there anymore that could potentially make us sick.
And lastly, our family and friends would be envious!
